Nothing is known about Levania in her early years of life. She suffered a severe form of amnesia around her 10th birthday when she was attacked by unknown entities and leaving a massive gash in her head. The only thing she remembered was her name. The people she was supposed to be traveling with were nowhere to be found. She was eventually found and adopted by a nearby Keeper of the Moon Tribe who couldn't leave such a young girl on her own.

After spending a couple of years with the Keeper of the Moon tribe learning to hunt, sew clothing, and other mundane daily tasks performed by the tribe, things began to change for young Levania. When she reached the age of 13, as most young girls do, her body began to mature. However, these changes brought about an extreme and abnormal condition that caused the aether in her body to swell rapidly and become highly unstable. Several times a week, the aether would be released uncontrollably causing harm to any who were too close. Fearful of hurting those around her, she began secluding herself on the edge of the village when her aether grew increasingly violent.
13-15
The clan, concerned for Levania's well being managed to gain the attention of the Padjal from Gridania. They were able to somewhat stabilize her aether for about a month at a time before it again grew increasingly unstable. The Padjal and other conjurers attempted to train her in the arts they used to stabilize her, but she failed to understand the teachings and was unsuccessful in learning conjurery. When she was 15, she learned about a guild in Limsa Lominsa that taught the manipulation of aether with mathematical symbols. The Arcanist Guild. With nothing to lose and everything to gain, Levania set off on a hopeful journey.
